We are accepted for publication in one of the most prestigous scientific magazines for blood compound technologies worldwide, TRANSFUSION.

The manuscript is resulting out of several pre-CE trials that were managed by LyncoClinical for a medical devices company during 2010-2011.

This studies conducted in 2010-2012 showed good results for Platelets prepared from fresh or onvernight-stored whole blood (WB) pooled after 18 to 24 hours.  Both fresh and overnight blood did meet de necessary in vitro criteria without any relevant difference between both groups.  The Platelet Yield Indicator was used, comparable yields can be obtained between WB processed within 2 to 8 hours and WB stored overnight.
